Diamond in the Rough by TeighlorMadeArt Diamond in the Rough by TeighlorMadeArt
Whew! Finished at last! 0_0 There are SO many things wrong with this picture but it was done mostly as practice. Any advice or tips please go ahead and let me know, I probably already know though lol

the phrase "diamond in the rough" is near and dear to me because its something my grandfather calls me, and will always be something, when he passes on, that I'll affectionately remember.

Cole Carrie © Teighlor Daniels...meh!

Thank you! I've seen one other, it was a wolf anthro holding an Arkansas flag, that picture was one of the first anthro pictures I saw way back when, so I think that might be part of the reason I wanted to do this one ^_^

Looking good. Very bright and colorful! Shading/light on her paw = awesome!
I'm glad to see you're breaking down your art wall.
One thing: Do you know how to use Layers in PS?
I'd suggest using layers for at least background and foreground elements. That way the flag's stars would look similar (I notice they are spaced different on the left side and the right, probably cuz Cole's in the way :D ).
The other thing I noticed is her mouth is a little too light. Can you darken it a little so we see her pretty smile/smirk?

Tehe Thanks! :D Critique is always appreciated. Yes I do know how to use layers, the stars were an accident I merged the layer down before I did the white stars -_-; cause I'm a dummy. Also if her body seems flat, I went over the furred areas again because I had divided the layers too much and when it came time to smudge for a softer effect I didn't want to merge down just yet, It messed my shading/highlighting up a bit.

As for her smile yes! I will defiantly try to darken it! Did once but obviously wasn't good enough lol. I'll do it again because that is an issue that bothers me greatly (I was trying to get away from doing my anthro mouths so dark but I went too far :meow: )
